April 20, 2010 - ATCQA today announces that it designated
Third Street Alliance for Women & Children in Easton, Pennsylvania
as its first Authorized Training Center.
An ATCQA
Authorized Training Center is an organization that offers Tai Chi classes
meeting the requirements set by ATCQA. Students who graduate from an ATCQA
Authorized Training Center will receive ATCQA Certification for Tai Chi
Practitioners. In December 2009, ATCQA first announced its plan for the
Authorized Training Center program as a way to promote high professional
standards in the industry.
Third
Street Alliance is a non-profit
organization with the mission to improve the quality of life for members of the
local community, with special emphasis on women and children. It provides
nationally accredited child care, quality adult day services, and wellness and
aquatics programs to the entire community and transitional shelter to women and
their children from the community.
The Tai Chi program at Third
Street Alliance is led by Jim Matthewson, who is certified by ATCQA (Level II) and
a member of ATCQA Professional Development Committee.
|
ATCQA accepted Third Street Alliance
for Women & Children as its first Authorized
Training Center after a strict review of the lead trainer's qualification, the
training plan and the syllabus, the training facilities, and the business
liability insurance coverage at Third Street Alliance.
